What is FTH?

Fandom Trumps Hate is an online auction of fanworks, with the proceeds going to small, progressive nonprofits that are working to protect marginalized people. We began FTH in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 Presidential Election, and over the course of the last 5 years have raised over $135,000 for a range of amazing organizations.

Which nonprofits do you support?

We support small progressive organizations doing vital and ongoing work on tight budgets. And, because there is a seemingly never-ending list of progressive causes that need addressing, we like to switch up our list to account for particularly pressing issues in a given year. We always include nonprofits working to protect marginalized people and fighting the erosion of democracy.Check out this year's list of supported nonprofits here.

How do I participate?

You can participate in two ways: as a creator or as a bidder (or both!)As a creator :Offer your talents to your fellow fans in exchange for donations to progressive nonprofits. If you create fanfiction, fan art, videos, podfics, fancams, manips or any other digital fanworks—or if you provide fan labor like beta services or translation—you can be an FTH creator!Learn more hereAs a bidder :Our auctions couldn't be a success without all the generous bidders ready to donate to the causes we support!Bidders pledge to donate money to one or more of the progressive nonprofits selected for that year's auction; as thanks, the creator will work with the winning (highest) bidder to produce a lovely new fanwork for them.Learn more here
